We are a network of students, scholars, faculty, staff,
and community members whose purpose is to provide venues and opportunities for research
and intellectual interchange related to the Philippines.
More specifically, the PSG seeks to invigorate the study of Philippine culture, history,
and language at the University of Michigan. The University of Michigan houses unique
collections of artifacts, primary source materials, manuscripts, and books on the
Philippines. Our long-term goal is to establish a Center for Philippine Studies in the
university, thereby providing greater means for research and intellectual interchange
among scholars and students.
